Christina Lyzyn, Psy.D.
Postdoctoral Fellow
Dr. Christina Lyzyn is a first-year postdoctoral fellow in clinical neuropsychology. She earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2025. Dr. Lyzyn completed her pre-doctoral internship at MiraCare Neuro Behavioral Health, where she provided neuropsychological assessment and therapy services to individuals across the lifespan.
Dr. Lyzyn is skilled in performing neuropsychological evaluations with children, adolescents, and adults, drawing from her experience in diverse settings, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, private practices, and outpatient clinics. She is particularly passionate about providing comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations and consultations for clients with complex medical conditions and neurodegenerative disorders, as well as those with cognitive, attentional, socio-emotional, and developmental difficulties. Dr. Lyzyn also plays an active role in mentoring and training students through didactics and secondary supervision.
Her therapeutic style is integrative and adaptive, tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. She is dedicated to fostering a collaborative and empathetic therapeutic environment where clients feel safe, empowered, and valued. Dr. Lyzyn incorporates various evidence-based approaches, including relational therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed therapy.
Dr. Lyzyn is an active member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the National Academy of Neuropsychology (NAN), and the International Neuropsychological Society (INS). She regularly attends continuing education seminars and participates in professional conferences to stay current with the latest advances in clinical neuropsychology and evidence-based assessment practices.
Proficient in Ukrainian and Russian, Dr. Lyzyn provides culturally and linguistically sensitive care, ensuring accurate assessments and meaningful connections with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
In her free time, Dr. Lyzyn enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, cooking, reading, watching true crime documentaries, and exploring new cultures.
