Daniel Polonsky, Psy.D.
Postdoctoral Fellow
Dr. Daniel Polonsky is a licensed clinical psychologist and post-doctoral fellow in clinical neuropsychology at ARCC Neuropsychology. Dr. Polonsky conducts comprehensive neuropsychological and psychological assessments, intake evaluations, psychotherapy, and provides feedback to patients. He treats patients across the lifespan who have neurodevelopmental disorders, degenerative diseases, complex neurological conditions (e.g., epilepsy, cerebral palsy, and hydrocephalus etc.), sleep disorders, and affective conditions. He works in various settings, including outpatient clinics, hospitals, and nursing homes. In addition to patient care, Dr. Polonsky plays an active role in training and mentoring students through supervision and didactic instruction.
Dr. Polonsky’s therapeutic approach is rooted in cognitive behavioral and existential therapies to help patients navigate challenges, build meaningful connections, and cultivate fulfilling lives.
Dr. Polonsky is an adjunct professor at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (TCSPP), where he teaches doctoral students the fundamentals of biology, neurology, and neuroscience, as well as the biological origins of psychiatric and mental health conditions. He is also a dedicated guest lecturer, sharing his expertise in psychology and neuropsychology with audiences of all ages in academic and clinical settings.
Dr. Polonsky earned his B.S. in Brain and Behavioral Sciences from Purdue University and his Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and Doctor of Psychology degree from Adler University, with an emphasis in Clinical Neuropsychology.
Outside of the clinical environment, Dr. Polonsky is an avid golfer, musician, and reader. He enjoys traveling, attending plays and orchestra concerts, and exploring different cultures.
Fluent in both English and Russian, Dr. Polonsky is committed to providing accessible, compassionate care to a diverse patient population.
